Dear Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
As we reach the midpoint of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on our accomplishments and share some exciting updates. While we haven’t yet had the opportunity to fully train our new staff members on the technology platform used for publishing newsletters, I’m delighted to provide this update on the wonderful happenings at our school.
This year, our Administrative Assistant and Student Support Services provider, Nayeli Camacho, established the San Ardo Parent Committee (SAPC). The committee has been instrumental in organizing enriching activities for our students and families, including a Haunted House for the Halloween Carnival, a parent pancake breakfast, and a festive cookie decorating party. We’re incredibly grateful for the dedication of these parents and encourage anyone interested in joining to reach out to Nayeli in the school office.
We’ve made significant progress in improving our campus facilities. The outdated playground equipment has been replaced with a new, modern structure that the students absolutely love! Additionally, new equipment has been ordered for the kindergarten playground. Other pending projects, including new roofing, asphalt resurfacing, and a shade structure, are awaiting approval from the Division of the State Architect.
Our students have been enjoying a variety of holiday activities. This year, we successfully revived our Thanksgiving dinner fundraiser for the first time since the pandemic, and it was a resounding success! In early December, AERA Energy and Supervisor Lopez generously provided gifts and pozole kits for our students and families. Last night, our students shined during the winter performance, showcasing their incredible talents. Today, we’re thrilled to host our annual Toys for Tots event in partnership with the United States Marine Corps Detachment 711, ensuring every child goes home with a special holiday gift. We hope to see you there!
Wishing you and your family a joyful and blessed holiday season. I look forward to all the exciting opportunities and successes that 2025 will bring to our school community!
Warm regards,
Catherine Reimer, Ed.D.
